There is no single paper called “commerce syllabus”

Commerce is a useful way to group interests, but the official CUET UG index lists separate tests. The table below collects six relevant 2026 subject documents from the official NTA syllabus index. It is a reference list, not a package every commerce student must take.

Start from your target university and programme requirements. Then select the correct subject documents and keep a record of the exam year.

The official index calls code 501 “General Aptitude Test”; its linked 2026 PDF uses “General Test” on the cover. Use the code and source together. For other languages or subjects, return to the full official index.

What do these subject PDFs cover?

These short previews help you navigate the files; use the complete PDF for detailed inclusions, exclusions and options.

• Accountancy / Book-Keeping 301: partnership accounting and changes in partnership, dissolution, company capital and financial-statement analysis. The document also gives an alternative Unit V on computerised accounting. Read the option wording in the 2026 Accountancy PDF rather than assuming a school option settles every entrance-test detail.
• Economics / Business Economics 309: introductory microeconomics, introductory macroeconomics and Indian economic development. The 2026 Economics PDF includes consumer behaviour, production and costs, market equilibrium, national income, money and banking, government budget, open-economy topics and development themes.
• Business Studies 305: management and its functions, business environment, finance, markets, marketing and consumer protection. Use the 2026 Business Studies PDF to check the full unit list.
• English 101: reading comprehension and verbal tasks such as rearrangement, word choice and vocabulary relationships. The 2026 English PDF provides the official scope statement.
• Mathematics / Applied Mathematics 319: the document contains multiple sections, including Mathematics and Applied Mathematics content. Read the relevant section structure in the 2026 Mathematics PDF and the applicable instructions before planning practice.
• General Aptitude Test 501: the 2026 PDF lists general knowledge/current affairs, mental and numerical ability, reasoning, and general science/environment literacy.

Choose a combination for your programme

The 2026 information bulletin (PDF, pages 15–17) tells candidates to choose papers using programme eligibility criteria. Universities can have different requirements. A school commerce combination and a university’s entrance-test requirement are separate things to check.

1. Write the exact degree and university. Keep separate records for programmes with similar names at different institutions.
2. Open the university’s official admissions source. Record the cycle, required papers and school-subject conditions, including any specific Mathematics or language requirement.
3. Map each requirement to the official test title and code. Do not substitute a similar-sounding subject without checking.
4. Mark unresolved next-cycle details. Recheck when the new bulletin and university documents appear; seek clarification from the institution where necessary.

Turn the syllabus into a working checklist

Create a small record for each topic you intend to prepare. Keep the official wording nearby, but write your learning needs in your own words.

Review the checklist weekly. If a topic repeatedly causes errors, reduce the task to the step you do not understand before attempting another full paper.

Do not assume CBSE and CUET coverage is identical

A familiar subject name is a starting point for comparison, not proof of matching scope. Place your current CBSE Class 12 syllabus beside the correctly labelled CUET PDF. Mark topics present in both, material needing a separate review and any uncertainty that needs a source check.

For preparation, use original notes and identifiable question sources. Label a provider-created practice set as practice; do not call it an official paper or claim that a topic will definitely appear.

How to update your plan for 2027

1. Check the official CUET UG portal and bulletin page for the new cycle.
2. Confirm the year inside each document, not only the title of a page linking to it.
3. Compare your subject list, topic scope and instructions with the new official material.
4. Recheck each target programme’s university requirements and note the date.
5. Revise your checklist and practice plan; preserve the previous-year file under its correct label.

The 2026 PDFs above support a dated starting reference. They should not be relabelled as 2027 syllabuses without an official basis.
